About Me

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, living in and working from the beautiful North Devon countryside. With an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a degree in psychology, my work is underpinned by a number of approaches and tailored to suit your specific needs.

I have a love of the outdoors, finding nature itself very therapeutic. I enjoy coastal and country walks as well as being in or on the water. When opportunity allows, I also love skiing. The simple pleasure of curling up with a good book is another source of enjoyment for me.

Prior to training as a counsellor, I have worked in a variety of roles and settings over the years. These include education, research, community work and running my own small business. The nature of these roles often meant I heard people's stories. This is something I always found to be a privilege - when others felt they could openly share with me. Not only the good but also the challenges they were experiencing in life.

My work as a counsellor has been within a GP practice, a domestic abuse charity and continues within a hospice setting alongside my own private practice.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I work within their Ethical Framework.
